I did some soul searching and decided I needed a running event to keep me on track and motivated. I was talking back and forth with some girlfriends about it when I received an email from my GF Shannon. This is what it said...."OK, if you are interested, what about this being a girls trip to Disneyland with a 1/2 Marathon thrown in the middle".
I received on February 20th at 5:51 PM and the rest as they say is history. In the process of training, I have lost 65 pounds and suffered an injury....Thank God it wasn't fractured :) SEE PHOTO.
So, I counted and I have 96 days until the big event. I ran 4 miles today and am really pushing to get back to my pre-injury running schedule. So, let me hear from you. I want and need your encouragement. CAN NOT WAIT to cross that finish line with my girlfriends. Hugs

96 days....wow....we can do this....we own THIS!!!!! 4 miles is awesome....we have 13 weeks....so even if you add a 1/2 mile each week you will be there!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGo Timi!! You can do it!! It will be amazing and not many people can say they've done a half marathon! I'm training for a 5K in October, then a 1/2 marathon in March, and a full marathon the next March (or sooner). You'll have to be my inspiration.
